In a few words
OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) is a metric that measures and indicates the performance of your equipment. It’s a stringent indicator as it’s the product of just three indicators in percentage form:
- operational availability (OA)
- performance rate (PR)
- quality rate (QR)
OEE is also the ratio of good parts produced to the maximum number of theoretically producible parts. An OEE of 100% is therefore impossible to achieve.
